In 1972 Steen Hegner started constructing this very unique and impressive timepiece.

Jens Olesen's grand Astronomical Clock at The Copenhagen Townhall was the inspiration.

The Grand is divided into 7 different works. The main work (Normal Time), Sidereal Time, the Gregorian calendar, the rotation of the sun, moon and earth, sunrise and sunset and the sun level, True Solar time, local time, equation of time and the Equation work. This magnificent timepiece is pure mechanical and winding 3 places is required.
